FLIGHT XPERTS

Garvey Rd. Flight Shop's competition and media team

Flight Xperts is the team side of Garvey Rd. Flight Shop: a crew of metro Detroit disc golfers who compete across Michigan, help run local events, and share the results and stories along the way. Players come first here. Every Xpert has their own collection on the shop, with discs they're selling to fund their season and the apparel they like best.

Where we came from

• Late 2023–2024: Garvey Rd. Disc Golf started running local events, mostly at Ducks Pond in Capac and Mill Creek in Kenockee. That led to the 2024 Fly & Dye Circuit, which ran from the Fly & Dye Open in April through the Fly & Dye Championship in October, along with pop-up skins at Cass Benton and Firefighters and a Toy Drive Doubles at Palmer Park.
• 2025: The Flight Xperts name took the field. The team sponsored a hole on the Kenockee & Capac Locals Circuit. On July 5 we hosted the Flight Xperts 2025 Circuit Challenge at Palmer Park in Detroit.
• 2026: Xperts are playing all over Michigan, from local C-tiers to the Michigan Amateur State Championships, and weekly team recaps start this fall.
• Flight Xperts started the simple way. Garvey Rd. Flight Shop was growing, and the best way to get the word out was to put it in the hands of the people who play. So we built a crew of Michigan disc golfers to show up at events, play hard, and rep the brand on every course they play.
