Steve started playing disc golf in the late 90s. He played every Sunday with friends and the firefighters' disc golf league on Mondays for several years. In 2018, Steve was the victim of a brutal assault that left him in a coma for three weeks. For the next four years, he had no taste, smell, or sense of balance and gained an unhealthy amount of weight. After some reflection and determination, Steve changed his diet and started losing weight. However, he was still not satisfied and turned to disc golf. He began with a cart to act as a walker, which helped him lose weight and regain his balance. After some time, he started playing competitively, where he met Damien Sanchez, and they quickly began playing together. Sharing the same vision, he helped Damien start the Mando Bros. Disc Golf Club, where they help newcomers to the sport find a welcoming place.

Steve is also a Flight Xperts Captain and helps build the team's disc golf schedule each month.
